Historical Note
These twelve reports are concerned with the industrial development in Muncie, Indiana. They are a
product of a study concerning the labor management contributions to the future growth of Muncie’s
economy. This project was financially aided through a federal grant from the U.S. Department of
Health, Education, and Welfare, IMPACT (Title I) Program of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and
administered by the State of Indiana Commission for Higher Education.
Scope and Contents
This collection includes reports written by Joseph D. Brown and published by the Bureau of Business
Research at Ball State University ranging from 1973 to 1974. The subject of the reports is the economic
status of Muncie, Indiana.
