Scope and Contents
This collection contains a 2006 photographic essay by Steve Talley titled "Documenting
Deindustrialization in Middletown: A Photographic Essay." The essay documents the changing postindustrial landscape in Muncie, including photographs of abandoned factories and plants. Also includes
photographs of BorgWarner (which was still in business at the time), Ball State University, the Ball
family homes, the Muncie Mall, Ball Memorial Hospital, and other various businesses and homes in the
Muncie area. The collection also includes born-digital images, slide shows, and documents containing
identification information for the images.
