Officer’s located alcohol and found one of the student’s in the room to be under the influence of alcohol. The student in violation was referred to the Conduct Review Committee. The student was evaluated and refused medical treatment. CASE NUMBER DATE REPORTED INCIDENT VALUE OF PROPERTY 007 01/18/2013 Harassment SUMMARY Campus Public Safety responded to a residence hall on a report of a student who was possibly injured. Officers located a student with the injuries resulting from a physical altercation with a non-student guest. Police were called and no charges were filed. Student had facial injuries consistent with being assaulted but refused medical and police assistance. It was determined that the injury occurred off campus. The student and the roommate were very uncooperative and had been consuming alcohol. Referred to the Conduct Review Committee. The card was canceled and there are no suspects identified at this time. Referred to the Forest Grove Police. CASE NUMBER DATE REPORTED INCIDENT VALUE OF PROPERTY 012 01/27/2013 Student Conduct Violation, SUMMARY Campus Public Safety Officers had a laser pointer shined on them from the exterior of a residential building. Officers located the student using the laser pointer. The student had already been spoken to by CPS in the past and advised again that it is a crime to point a laser pointer at a uniformed officer. The laser pointers were seized, and the student was referred to the Conduct Review Committee for review. CASE NUMBER DATE REPORTED INCIDENT VALUE OF PROPERTY 013 1/28/2013 Suspicious Circumstances SUMMARY Campus Public Safety was notified of a phone call from a non-student upset about an article a faculty member wrote in The Oregonian. The caller did not make any threats nor was the caller derogatory to anyone or about anyone. The director of the department wanted the situation documented in case the situation escalated. CASE NUMBER DATE REPORTED INCIDENT VALUE OF PROPERTY 014 01/28/2013 Alcohol, Drugs, Tampering SUMMARY Campus Public Safety Officer’s responded to reports of the odor of marijuana in a residential hall. CPS Officer’s located the room and determined that there was marijuana in the room at one point before their arrival. Officer’s also located alcohol in the room with no one being 21 years of age, and smoke detector that had been tampered with. Referred to the Conduct Review Committee.
