Email Responsibility
It has been explained to me that the University of Washington and the Electrical Engineering
department communicates with students through electronic mail, and that my UW email address
(e.g., smith@uw.edu) is considered to be the authoritative address for official correspondence. It
is my responsibility to check email on a regular basis (daily, if possible) and to keep current on
official announcements, program advising notices and other directives. Failing to do so may
affect my degree progress as I may not become aware of opportunities and requirements in a
timely way.
