Homework #10 (due Tuesday September 14th)
 Do the all problems on page 117 #1-35 the best you can
 When you’re done with the problems, log onto blackboard and check your answers using
the answer key.
 On a SEPARATE SHEET OF PAPER make corrections to any of the problems you got
wrong (make sure you understand how to do them!)
 Use the Chapter 2 study guide to make sure you are ready for the test!
 Study all of your vocab words!!
(Problems #1-35 and the corrections will be turned in for a grade!)
Chapter 2 Study Guide
Chapter 1 Review:
 Know and be able to recognize all of the vocabulary words from chapter 1
 Know how to use the segment addition postulate
 Know how to use the angle addition postulate
 Know how to name lines, planes, rays, etc.
 Be able to recognize collinear/coplanar points and lines
Section 2.1 and 2.2 Objectives
 To recognize conditional statements (if-then statements)
 To write the converse of a conditional statement
 To recognize and write biconditionals
 Be able to provide a counterexample for statements that are false
Section 2.3 Objectives:
 To use the law of detachment to make a conclusion
 To use the law of syllogism to make a conclusion
Section 2.4 Objectives:
 To connect reasoning in algebra and geometry
 Be able to recognize all of the properties of equality and the properties of congruence
 Be able to solve an algebraic expression and give the justification for each step (as a
two-column proof)
 Know how to apply the angle addition postulate and justify each step when you solve
 Know how to apply the segment addition postulate and justify each step when you solve
Section 2.5 Objectives:
 Know how to apply the Vertical Angles Theorem
 Know how to prove the Congruent Supplements Theorem and the Congruent Compliments
Theorems (Pg 112 Ex 2, Pg 113 #7)
