Back-to-school open house and information nights in District 196 schools
ROSEMOUNT, Minn. – District 196 elementary schools, middle schools and high schools have all scheduled back-toschool open houses, orientation sessions and/or information nights that will be held in August and September. The first
day of the 2015-16 school year is Tuesday, Sept. 8.
On Aug. 25 and 26, elementary students will have an opportunity to have a one-on-one meeting at their school to take a
literacy assessment. These 45-minute assessment meetings must be scheduled by a parent or guardian by going to the
school website. Assessment times are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Some schools are offering additional
assessment times on other days.
