Millions of people across China crowded onto trains and buses this week, hurrying home to be with their families for the country's most important holiday, Lunar New Year, or Spring Festival. February 10 marks the end of the Year of the Dragon and the beginning of the Year of the Snake.
More than one billion people worldwide celebrate Lunar New Year. In China, people from Beijing to Guangzhou enjoy a holiday. Businesses and government offices are closed. Many people go to temples to pray for good fortune.

Use the WORLD: Year of the Snake to develop (1) question for each of the Revised
Bloom’s Taxonomy Levels.
Seminar: Speaking to Writing Procedures:
1. Divide the class into groups of 4.
2. Assign roles.
3. Have every group develop 1 question for each level of the taxonomy.
4. Within each group, have them discuss (verbally) possible answers, and capture in writing the answer(s). 5. Have the Speaker rotate to other teams.
6. The teams respond verbally to the “visiting Speaker” and capture in writing the additional input.
7. When the Speaker returns to his team, discuss how the different perspectives might have changed your perception/ answer. Decide as a team how to amend or change your response. Record decision in writing.
8. The Speaker shares verbally with the whole class the team’s final perception/ response.
9. Gather from the Scribes ALL of their responses and bind responses together for students to read.
