Entrance Test (YCMOU-PET 2015) Guidelines









The Ph.D. Entrance Test shall be conducted only in online mode.
The Ph.D. Entrance Test shall be of 200 marks and.
It shall consists of Paper-I of 50 marks and Paper-II of 150 marks
Paper-I having 50 MCQ’s having ONE(1) mark each and time will be 50 minutes.
The examinations of Paper-I shall be common to all students irrespective of their specialization at
Master’s degree level.
Paper-II having 50 MCQ’s having THREE(3) mark each and time will be 150 minutes.
The examinations of Paper-II shall be based on PG Course syllabus of concerned subject.
Syllabus for Entrance test :
Syllabus for Entrance Test shall be equivalent to the NET / SET / GATE / Postgraduate Level of the
concerned subject. In the Entrance Test, the candidate’s knowledge about the subject, research
methodology and general aptitude shall be tested. Entrance Test, based on multiple choice types of
questions, shall be of 200 marks. Out of this, 50 (Paper-I) marks shall be for research methodology and
general aptitude and 150 marks for concerned subject knowledge.

General Guidelines to the Student





YCMOU offers only FULL TIME Ph.D. program. Eligible and admitted student will get
fellowship of Rs 25000 per month for a maximum of 2 years.
The Ph.D. Program will be offered at 7 schools of YCMOU at University Head Office,
Nashik only.
University does not have any recognized research Centre outside University Head Office,
Nashik.
Reservation of the seats will be as per Maharashtra State Govt. rules.
University reserves the right to change the number of Vacancies.
