Remember:
y = sec(x) and y = cos(x) are reciprocals
1
sec(x) = cos(x)
Therefore, to graph secant we graph the
reciprocal of each point on the cosine graph.
However, we will have asymptotes on the
secant graph where cos(x)= 0 because the
reciprocal of 0/1 is undefined.

Steps to graphing secant:
1. Graph the cosine version of that graph.
2. Draw vertical asymptotes through the x-values that
are half-way between each max and min.
3. Plot a point at each max and min of y = cos(x).
4. Draw a curve pointed up at each max and a curve
pointed down at each min.
