ADVISEMENT & REGISTRATION GUIDE
This guide includes informa on and links to advising resources and will be posted on the OneCarolina– Aiken and Academic
Success Center (ASC) homepages. If ques ons arise, please contact the OneCarolina, ASC, Records staffs or SSC Liaisons.
REMINDERS FOR SUMMER AND FALL ADVISEMENT AND REGISTRATION:

IMS and DARS will remain available throughout this advisement and registraƟon period. However, Summer II will be
the final semester that new informaƟon is added to these resources.

Advisement Forms will conƟnue to be used to document advisement appointments. A separate form must be used to
record Summer and Fall advisement appointments.

Registra on for Maymester, Summer I and
Summer II will be conducted in IMS and VIP
through the same process as in previous se‐
mesters.
Registra on for Fall 2013 will be conducted
in Self Service Carolina (SSC).
 REMINDER: Summer 2013 courses must be en‐
tered on a form separate from Fall 2013 cours‐
es.  A er advising each student, li their advisement hold on the [ADVISIND] screen in IMS, and check the ADV Hold Removed box on the Advisement Form. Your departmental designee or the ASC
will assist you with li ing Advisement Holds for
Summer 2013 courses.
 Send your completed Advisement Form to your departmental designee or the ASC.  Remind each student to check their Summer 2013 Registra on Time in VIP.  You must use your VIP ID and VIP Password to access SSC. If you do not have these, you can find them by comple ng the steps at h p://
