Phases of the Moon Sketch
Copy the diagram and legend from slide 7 (refer to the Moon ppt.)
1. Sun (1 pt.)
a. Include the Sun in your diagram to give your diagram orientation and the direction of the light
source.
2. Moon phase diagram (8 pts.)
a. Draw the Earth and the Moon at the 8 main phases and positions around the Earth.
b. Number the positions 1-8
3. Diagram Legend (8 pts.)
a. Create a legend that includes drawings and vocabulary for the different positions.
b. Number the drawings and definitions so that they correlate with the numbers in your diagram.
4. Neatness (10 pts.)
a. Draw your diagram neatly so that you can study from it.
b. Make it useful!
