Prior to this Gill was seconded to NHS England North as Deputy Chief Executive and has worked as Director of Nursing and Performance and Director of Infection Prevention and Control (DIPC) at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust. Deputy Panel Chair Teresa Fenech Teresa Fenech is Deputy Director of Quality Assurance for NHS England North. Patient/Public Representative Geraint Day Geraint Day is a former Local Involvement Network steering group member, Community Health Council Chair and co-operative sector non-executive director. He helped create NHS Foundation Trusts, has worked in public health statistics and health policy and is currently employed by a clinical Royal College. Patient/Public Representative Trevor Fernandes Trevor Fernandes is a Heart Advocate for the British Heart Foundation and over the last 7 years, has been actively involved in promoting a number of BHF campaigns for good heart health - most recently, the ‘Mending Broken Hearts’ appeal. Trevor is a patient representative at the Mid Essex Trust and chairs a heart support group and a Patient Participation Group in mid Essex. Patient/Public Representative Jenny Cairns Jenny Cairns is Chair of a medical practice Patient Participation Group. For a number of years she was Chair of Headway South West London, a charity which supports people affected by traumatic brain injury and their families/carers. Until recently she was a member of the National Clinical Reference Group for Brain Injury and Complex Rehabilitation. Patient/Public Representative Howard Naylor Howard Naylor is an independent organisational development consultant with many years' experience of working with the NHS. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and has a particular interest in ensuring excellent HR management. Having survived a cancer diagnosis in 2007, Howard also works with a local north-west based group developing ways to improve the patients' experience of living with and beyond cancer. Doctor Alan Paul Alan Paul is a consultant urological surgeon in teaching hospital practice, with a special interest in oncology. He completed basic surgical training in Edinburgh and higher training in Manchester. He was appointed Consultant in 1999. Doctor Graham Cooper Graham Cooper is a consultant cardiac surgeon at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and has held this role for 17 years. Junior Doctor Krishna Kasaraneni Dr Krishna Kasaraneni is a junior doctor from Sheffield and is training in general practice. Krishna has over 8 years medical experience and currently Chair of the GP Trainees Subcommittee at the BMA. Nurse Joanne Todd Joanne Todd is Associate Director of Nursing (Patient Safety & Governance) at County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust and has a clinical background in medical nursing. Prior to this Joanne was senior nurse for infection prevention and control, and has over 27 years experience within the NHS. Nurse Mandy Bailey Mandy Bailey is Chief Nurse for the University Hospital of South Manchester and has held this role for the last 6 years. Mandy is a trained adult and children’s nurse and has had 30 years nursing and senior management experience in a number of different trusts across the country. Student Nurse Lucy Giles Lucy Giles is a student mental health nurse studying at the University of Manchester. Lucy has previous experience working as a support worker in homeless primary care and assertive outreach community mental health. Trust Senior Manager Chris Gordon Chris Gordon is Programme Director at the NHS Leadership Academy, supporting hospital trust development. He is also a consultant physician in Winchester specialising in Parkinson’s Disease. He was recently a trust chief executive. Trust Senior Manager Fleur Blakeman Fleur Blakeman is a senior health service manager currently working at Mersey Care NHS Trust as Deputy Director of Contracting and Business Intelligence. Fleur has 26 years’ experience of working in health care in both the private and public sector. Fleur is a registered general nurse and during her career has worked in a number of hospitals including specialist and acute providers and as a commissioner of health care services. CQC Representative Robert Taylor Robert Taylor is an experienced health and social care regulator. Robert has been deputy project lead for CQC's review of Defence Medical Services and led on the NHS Dignity and Nutrition national review, which was published in March 2013. Senior Regional Support Jon Develing Jonathan Develing is Regional Director of Operations and Delivery for NHS England. Jonathan’s previous roles have included Director of Commissioning for North Cheshire, Director of Specialised Commissioning for Cheshire and Merseyside and Chief Officer for North of England Specialised Commissioning Group. Senior Regional Support Damian Riley Dr Damian Riley has been a GP for over 20 years, and works as Area Medical Director for West Yorkshire and Deputy Medical Director for NHS England North. He also undertakes work with the National Clinical Assessment Service as a clinical assessor and trainer.
