We currently are using three 1970’s era K2 Gleaners for
harvesting yield trials. Two of the machines have weigh
buckets developed by Pioneer in the early 80’s. The third
machine uses has a weigh system developed here at NCSU
and does not have a hold hopper. All three machines have the
HarvestMaster HM401 weigh system and use an obsolete Pro
4000 computer. The HM401 system is probably obsolete as
well.
We would really like to upgrade the computer systems if
possible before they fail on us with “newer” systems that
are still supported.
We can also use another 3-row 30” corn head for a K-2
Gleaner.
