A regular meeting of the Coloma Board of Education was held at the Coloma High
School Auditorium, in the district, on November 10, 2014. The Pledge of Allegiance was
recited. President Douglas LeClear called the meeting to order at 6:59 p.m.
The following members were present:

It was moved by Mr. Hirsch and supported by Ms. Watson to adopt the agenda of
November 10, 2014, with the addendum, 5.7.

Motion carried unanimously.
It was moved by Mr. Stowers and supported by Mr. Kraemer to adopt the consent
agenda as follows:

C. Approval of the bills.

Mr. LeClear introduced Superintendent Peter Bush and he congratulated Mrs. Ishmael,
Mr. Vollrath and Mrs. Clements for their election to the Board.
Mrs. Ishmael expressed appreciation to the teachers and administrators for successful
parent teacher conferences. She complimented the choir and remarked that the fall concert in
the new auditorium was standing room only. Mrs. Ishmael also praised the marching band
and the fifth grade band on their recent concerts.
Mr. Kraemer shared that the BOE Finance Committee met just prior to the Board
meeting.

It was moved by Mrs. Ishmael and supported by Ms. Watson to approve the following
supplemental contracts for the 2014-15 school year as per the negotiated contract:

It was moved by Mr. Stowers and supported by Mr. Hirsch to adopt the Best Practice
Incentive Resolution that identifies 7 out of 9 “best practices” which makes the school district
eligible for an additional $50 state aid per student in 2014-2015.

Patricia Matheson, whose grandson is a Coloma student, requested that his personal
aide, Jason Smith, receive a raise in pay.
Apryl Watson announced the Athletic Boosters Holiday Bazaar and Craft Show will
be November 16, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Alwood Gym.
Interim Superintendent Gary Campbell shared it has been an extreme pleasure
working here in Coloma with a great group of people.
President LeClear adjourned the meeting at 7:38 p.m.
