The Schrödinger functional with chirally rotated boundary conditions Presenter: Stefan Sint Stefan Sint Abstract: Using orbifold techniques I define a modified Schrödinger functional for Wilson quarks with chirally rotated boundary conditions. With this set-up all the standard O(a) counterterms to the action and operators become irrelevant in the chiral limit. This implies that ratios of renormalization constants computed in a Schrödinger functional scheme can be automatically O(a) improved, up to unavoidable boundary counterterms. As an example I calculate the running coupling for Nf = 2 massless quark flavours in the SF-scheme to one-loop order of perturbation theory, demonstrating explicitly the irrelevance of the Sheikholeslami-Wohlert term in the action. 1
