QCD level density from maximum entropy method Presenter: Shinji Ejiri Shinji Ejiri and Tetsuo Hatsuda Abstract: Most of thermodynamic features of QCD can be understood by the spectral property of energy level density. We calculate the level density function from the data of thermodynamic quantities obtained by lattice QCD simulations. We find that the temperature dependence of thermodynamic quantities near the phase transition point is sensitive to the structure of energy level density, and that the level density function can be determined directly by applying the maximum entropy method. The energy level density has a close relation to the hedoronic resonance state density widely used for the phenomenological data analyses, and also to the Hagedorn’s bootstrap model. Possible applications of the level density function are also discussed. 1
