Each time you take it, you will get a different set of questions, so the more
times you take it, the more chances you’ll have of seeing all the types of
questions that might be on the real quiz.

have been selected from the homework assignments,
Preparing for the Quiz:
2). Take the Practice Quiz
(under Quizzes and Tests, Practice Quiz 1).
•
The practice quiz has the same number of problems as the real quiz,
and has similar problems and will give you a chance to see the
difference between doing problems in a homework setting vs. a timed
quiz with no “help” or “check answer” functions.
•
Each time you take the practice quiz you’ll get a different set of
questions (not just different numbers in the same questions), so taking
it multiple times will make it more likely that you’ll have seem most of
the types of problems that will be an the actual quiz.
3). Review your daily class notes and/or the online
lecture slides (under “Course Home” Link to Math
010 course Materials ).
– You can take the practice quiz as many times
as you want, and the computer will generate
new problems for you each time.
– You don’t need a password to access the
practice versions of tests and quizzes.
– Your best practice quiz score WILL count a
small percentage in your overall course
grade.
– After each try, you can review your quiz and
see how to do the problems you got wrong.
(Come to the open lab if you need help.)
REMINDERS:
• Take the practice quiz early enough so
you’ll have time to review it, retake it, come
into the open lab for help if needed.
• Review each practice quiz after you submit it.
(The “help me solve this” buttons will appear when you review the quiz)
• You have unlimited attempts, so retake the
practice quiz until you score at least 90%
• If you score < 90%, come into the open
lab to review your quiz with a TA.
(Or just take the practice quiz in the open lab to start with …)
Do any of you who have
already started the

questions you’d like to
