In order to qualify for any summer (non-UNC sponsored) or semester study abroad financial aid, a copy of
this form plus a copy of the admission letter from the ABA Sponsoring Summer Study Abroad Law School
or Semester Exchange Host School and a financial aid application (if necessary) must be submitted to the
UNC Law School Student Aid Office. Financial aid applications should be submitted as soon as possible
upon gaining admission to the ABA Summer Study Abroad Program or Semester Exchange Program. It is
recommended that all documents be submitted before or during March if applying for summer financial aid
funding.

All U.S. law students studying abroad are required by the ABA to develop a written plan to
define their educational objectives when studying abroad.
