2016 NC Teacher Working Conditions Survey Opens Today - Lynda Fuller 3/1/16 3:16 PM 2016 NC Teacher Working Conditions Survey Opens Today North Carolina Public Schools <NCPublicSchools@public.govdelivery.com> Tue 3/1/2016 3:12 PM To: Lynda Fuller <Lynda.Fuller@dpi.nc.gov>; * 100% Participation Sought for 2016 NC Teacher Working Conditions Survey The 2016 NC Teacher Working Conditions Survey will be open for responses March 1 – 25. State Superintendent June Atkinson describes the history and importance of the survey saying, “In 2002, North Carolina became the first state in the nation to ask educators what they thought about their working conditions and the tools and support they need to do their jobs well. Feedback from the first seven NC TWC Surveys has shaped education policy at the school, district and state levels for more than a decade. I encourage all teachers to take the survey again this year so that their voices will continue to be heard. North Carolina is listening.” Each North Carolina school with a survey response rate of 40 percent or greater receives a results report. This data becomes part of the school's ongoing improvement planning process and an artifact in the North Carolina's educator and administrator evaluation processes. School leaders should encourage all educational personnel to participate. The NCDPI Educator Effectiveness Division will monitor survey results throughout the survey window. Superintendents, principals and each school’s NC TWC Survey representative will receive weekly updates of their schools’ status. For technical assistance, additional information about the survey, or to take the survey, please visit the NC Teacher Working Conditions website.
