The following are also requirements for students majoring in Early Childhood Education:
•
The courses listed in the transfer agreement above are for the Prekindergarten – Grade 3
Teaching Majors and Endorsements only. If you are considering other majors or
endorsements in the Teacher Education Program at UIU, you will need to work with the
college to determine and individual transfer plan.
•
Transfer agreements are updated each year. Students should work with an advisor from
UIU to make sure they are using the most recent transfer agreement
•
Maintain at least a 2.70 cumulative GPA to be admitted into the Upper Iowa University
Teacher Education Program.
•
Successfully pass the College Basic Academic Skills Exam (C-Base) in Reading and
Literature, Writing and Mathematics with the following minimum scores:

Reading and Literature: 235
§
Writing: 235
§
Math: 235
Each section of the exam may be taken a maximum of three times. (Praxis Core
minimum scores accepted are Reading 156, Writing 162, and Mathematics 150).
•
Submit to Criminal Background Checks and have no serious charges in this check.
