KCRG.com to Stream Opportunity 08 Forum

IOWA CITY- The Brookings Institution, an independent, non-profit think tank in
Washington, D.C. wants to help you and the presidential candidates focus on
critical issues facing the nation.
In partnership with ABC News, Brookings is co-sponsoring a series of public
forums across the country and the University of Iowa is hosting one such forum
tonight.
"Energy & National Security: Biofuels and Alternative Energy in America's Policy
Debate" will be held in the Main Lounge of the Iowa Memorial Union beginning at
7:30 p.m.
The panelists include David Sandalow, an Energy and Environment Scholar at
Bookings. Sandalow is an expert on energy policy and global warming and has
authored the book, "Freedom from Oil--How The Next President Can End The
United States' Oil Addiction."
Other panelists include William Antholis, managing director of Brookings and
Michael O'Hanlon, a Brookings senior fellow. Several professors from the
University of Iowa and Iowa State University will also take part.
