Data Sources
In conducting its review of Forest Service organization and operations, the Committee reviewed
large numbers of journal articles, books, reports, statutes, regulations, and administrative documents. The information gained from these publications form the basis of much of this report, and
the Committee acknowledges its debt to the numerous authors (many of them anonymous) who
