July 20, 2015 Applicant Tracking Project Update The Applicant Tracking Project is moving along as expected and the combined DPI/TeacherMatch project teams are currently working with Pilot LEAs and Charters as we test the new system. Our Applicant Tracking partner, TeacherMatch, and your DPI team are working closely together to provide a system that is configured to meet the needs of North Carolina’s LEAs. While we are seeking to standardize the user experience during the initial rollout, each LEA is being provided with some choices as to how their system is configured. After getting comfortable with the system provided during the initial rollout, LEAs will have the opportunity to make additional changes, in conjunction with TeacherMatch, in the near future. We expect the state wide rollout to begin in August. In June we conducted a survey to determine when each LEA would prefer to go-live with the new Applicant Tracking System. And we have used the responses from the System Implementation Date Preference survey to schedule your implementation date. In the vast majority of cases, we were able hit your number 1, 2 or 3 date preference; however in some instances we did need to shift a few weeks beyond your initial preference. An implementation schedule will be sent out once the system is fully built out and integrated, which is expected within a couple of weeks. Our goals for a successful rollout include making sure that your LEA’s new Applicant Tracking system functions correctly and that it provides a significantly improved Applicant Tracking experience for both LEAs and applicants. Results so far with the pilots have been positive. As we continue to move forward, our team will be calling each LEA point of contact to discuss -- on a one-to-one basis and based on your go-live date -- the specifics of your implementation. We are looking forward to working with you and helping make your end-to-end hiring process better. Best Regards, Joel Leeper HRMS and Applicant Tracking Project Manager 1
