Why Personalized Learning Playlists? ● Students are individuals! ○ ○ ○ They come from a wide variety of backgrounds. They have a wide variety of abilities. They have a wide variety of learning styles. ● Teachers aren’t supermen ● Resources are limited ● Even strong students lack the skill set to break through barriers that develop. ○ ○ High Expectation + High Support School Culture creates students reliant on scaffold to be successful. We need to build for independence! What is a playlist? ● A collection of resources a student can select from to help him/her learn necessary content. ● Digital playlists are easier to build, but paper/pencil playlists are possible.
