Rise & Shine…get your day started stretches Stretch your wrists, arms and shoulders ·∙ Interlace your fingers, then straighten your arms out in front of you ·∙ Turn your palms out – facing away from you ·∙ Feel the stretch thru your arms and shoulders Stretch your shoulders/neck (shoulder shrug) ·∙ Raise the top of your shoulders toward your ears until you feel a slight tension in your neck & shoulders ·∙ Hold for several seconds and then relax your shoulders back in to a normal position Neck Side Stretch ·∙ Sit or stand, let your arms hang by your side ·∙ Slowly, gently turn your head to one side hold for several seconds – repeat the other direction Overhead shoulder stretch ·∙ Interlock your fingers, turn your palms up above your head and straighten your arms out ·∙ Hold for 8-­‐10 seconds, take a deep breath and exhale as you relax your arms ·∙ Repeat Hand Shakes – to increase circulation ·∙ Shake your arms and hands at your side 8-­‐10 seconds – stay relaxed thru your shoulders and neck
