I got up, washed and dressed quickly and went downstairs to the kitchen. No one else was there, which surprised me because it was half past seven. I made coffee and toast and was eating an apple when Mum appeared. ‘What are you doing?’, she asked. ‘Having breakfast.’ I replied. ‘Would you like a drink?’ ‘Yes please. Do you have special plans for today? Do you have to catch a train?’ ‘No, Mum. I don’t want to be late because Anita wants me to get a book about South America from the library, then I must finish an essay and I have classes all afternoon. Do you need anything from the shops?’ ‘But it’s Sunday!’ Mum exclaimed. ‘I don’t believe it!’ I was so astonished that I dropped my cup. ‘I think I’ll go back to bed’, I declared. Mum laughed. 3035/1/O/N/02 www.xtremepapers.net 4 BLANK PAGE 3035/1/O/N/02 www.xtremepapers.net
