Kaid Kaid co-authored the paper with Wojciech Cwalina and Andrzej Falkowski of the Warsaw School of Social Psychology. WRUF was recognized for “Best Daily Radio Newscast” and for “Front Page on the Air,” WRUF’s news magazine program. Congratulations also to WUFT-TV, who won 2nd place for “Best Daily Television Newscast.” Two students also won awards. Matt Blubaugh received 2nd place in radio for “Best Spot News” for his coverage of a white supremacists rally in Gainesville and the counter protest. Erich Spivey received 3rd place in radio for “Best In-Depth Reporting” for his series on the homeless in Gainesville and Alachua County. The awards were handed out Sept. 13 at the national SPJ conference in Tampa.
