Flexline is considered a dining plan and purchases are not taxed at dining locations for students. Flexline may be used at several service locations (see Flexline panel on the inside of this brochure for all service locations). At the time you received for your Stout BlueCard, a contract was completed that opened a Flexline account for you with a zero balance. Local Address _____________________________________________________________ The Block Plan is a “meal” plan designed for off-campus students who wish to dine at on-campus cafeteria locations. Meals are purchased in blocks of 100, 50 or 25 and are valid for use at any breakfast, lunch or dinner meal in the Commons and North Point cafeterias. These meal purchases are tax exempt for students. Meals can be redeemed for $4.40 at any of the University Dining retail locations including: the MSC’s Fireside Cafe, Blue Devil Market and Brew Devils; Commons or North Point Mini-Mart, and Express Locations. When you present your Stout BlueCard to the cashier a meal will be deducted for payment. The Block meals will roll forward from fall semester to spring semester, but any remaining meals will be lost if not used by the last meal served in the cafeterias in May. Look inside for more information on Block Plans. Local Phone ( WHICH ACCOUNT SHOULD I USE TO EAT AT ON-CAMPUS DINING LOCATIONS? The answer may be both. Many students and faculty/staff have found that using these accounts together is the most economical way to eat on-campus. Use of Block Plan is recommended for cafeterias, and use of Flexline for all the retail dining locations. If you are planning to eat the majority of your meals in the Commons or North Point cafeterias, you may want to choose a Block Plan and supplement it with Flexline for occasional purchases in retail dining locations. Block Plan use has the best value in the lunch/brunch and dinner cafeteria meals. Using Block Plan meals for a “cash equivalency” of $4.40 per meal outside the cafeterias is for convenience only, but is not your best value. (For more information see the chart of meal prices inside.) If you plan to eat infrequently in the cafeterias, using Flexline for all your dining purchases might be your best alternative. Flexline prices are approximately 15% lower than cash prices in the cafeterias. street city state zip ) _______________________ Home Address _____________________________________________________________ street Home Phone ( city state zip ) ______________________ BLOCK PLAN SELECTION GOLD 100 MEALS $530.00 SILVER 50 MEALS $280.00 TOTAL BRONZE 25 MEALS $145.00 BRONZE $29.00 GOLD $26.50 SILVER $28.00 5 MEAL BLOCK “ ADD-ON” : This option is only available to those who have purchased a 25-50-100 Block Plan this year.
