EXPLORACIONES SPANISH IMMERSION SCHOLARSHIP
Eligibility: - Student must have enrolled in a total of 5 credit hours at MCC over the last academic year Student must have a 2.5 GPA Application process:
 Print and submit an MCC scholarship application.
You do not need to obtain a letter of recommendation. However, if you have had a Spanish class within
the last two years, please obtain a signature from your current or last Spanish instructor in the space for
recommendations. If you have not had Spanish, get the signature of another instructor at MCC and
indicate the subject they teach.
 Submit a one-page typed essay in English addressing the questions below. Be sure to put your student
ID number on the essay. Please do NOT put your name. a) Why have you chosen to study Spanish? b) In
what ways do you intend to apply what you have learned in the future? c) What do you hope to achieve
by studying abroad?
 Submit a student copy of transcripts
 Send application, copy of student transcripts and essay to: Chad Montuori, Foreign Language

There is one $750 scholarship available for students enrolling in the Spanish Immersion program in
Costa Rica for the summer 2016. Scholarship recipients will be required to pay the initial deposit of
$1000 no later than Monday, May 2. The scholarship will then be applied towards the final payment.
