Acceptance Criteria for Change of Major Applications (2015-2016) Program Apparel Design & Development Applied Mathematics & Computer Science Admission Criteria Program Director Approval. Minimum cumulative GPA: 2.0 Applied Science Program Director approval. You must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and a grade of C or higher for all math and computer science courses already taken. Completion of Math 121 – Introductory College Mathematics II (or transfer equivalency) is required to be admitted. First semester freshmen must rank in the top 50 percent of their class (or for high schools that do not rank, earn a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale), have a minimum ACT composite score of 22 (or SAT equivalent), and a minimum ACT math score of 22 (or SAT equivalent). Program Director Approval. Student must have completed Math 120 or higher. Minimum cumulative GPA: 2.0 Students that do not meet all of the requirements can be accepted as PreApplied Science ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------While not a requirement, students with professional health science career goals/interests, such as Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, etc. should also complete the declaration form on the Change of Major website (near the bottom). Minimum cumulative GPA: 2.5 Student acknowledges that completion of the CTET program makes an individual certifiable in the Wisconsin Technical College System and requires 8 credits of student teaching or a training internship. Applicants should be aware that program courses may be delivered faceto-face, online, weekends, or using a combination of delivery methods. A minimum of 32 credits of the individual’s program must be UW-Stout courses. 1 Computer Engineering Program Director Approval.
