Ferry service for passengers and vehicles crossing Cook Strait. Journey takes approximately 3 hours. Onboard dining

The Lynx is Tranz Rail's fast ferry option in
addition to The Interislander in the summer
months (December through to April) and will
get you across Cook Strait in just 135
minutes. The Lynx offers a quick and
comfortable ride between the North and
South Island, so you make the most of your
journey away.
Relax onboard in the comfortable seating and
receive at-seat service or if you choose to
take a look around, you'll see the onboard
café serving a variety of local food, hot and
cold snacks, main meals and treats for the
kids. A selection of New Zealand wines,
beers and spirits as well as non-alcohlic
beverages is available from the fully stocked
bar or café.
