This scheme will supercede all other previous schemes of assessment. Note that there is no change in the new syllabus content as given in the 2004 handbooks. AS LEVEL The AS level Law will consist of: Paper 1 Structure and Operation of the English Legal System 1.5 hours Candidates answer 3 questions from a choice of 6 Each question carries 25 marks, total mark 75 This paper is weighted at 30% of the overall grade Paper 2 Data Response: The English Legal System 1.5 hours Candidates answer 1 question from a choice of 2 Each question carries 25 marks, total mark 25 This paper is weighted at 20% of the overall grade A Level The A level law will consist of: Papers 1 and 2 as above, and Paper 3 Law of Contract 1.5 hours Section A consists of 3 questions and Section B consists of 3 questions Candidates answer 3 questions in total, one of which must be in Section A and one of which must be in section B.
