Keeping the STEM disciplines together as an important structural component for a polytechnic institution. To the extent possible, keeping units that share an accrediting body within the same college. Considering unit physical location/proximities; i.e., when feasible to have units within a college be close to one another. Feedback received: There were 165 separate survey responses submitted by Sept. 21 and reviewed. Approximately 30% of the responses suggested eliminating, moving or merging specific programs/departments without reference to the bigger picture of reorganizing college structure. Approximately 30% of the responses were process related; subthemes included consult with others in the reorganization process; align the reorganization with mission/core values; consider the costs of reorganization; keep the reorganization equitable and other process related comments. Approximately 17% of the responses highlighted aspects of the colleges that should not be restructured.
