Scholarships for Transfer Students from Two‐Year Colleges Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarship
Recognizing the unique qualities transfer students bring to UW-Stout, we are pleased to offer this for members of the
prestigious Phi Theta Kappa honor society. This scholarship is offered only to qualified students transferring directly
from two-year colleges.
$5,500 Awarded in PHI THETA KAPPA SCHOLARSHIPS
Selection Criteria Applicants will be reviewed
according to their academic
qualifications (course selection
and academic performance),
leadership, extracurricular
involvement and essay. Serious
consideration will be given to
those applicants who will have
completed at least 24 semester
hours (or the equivalent) prior to
UW-Stout entry.
Scholarship Eligibility and Information







Must be a member of Phi Theta Kappa at a previous college
Complete the application
Write a short essay of no more than two pages
Letter of Support from current PTK Adviser
Cumulative GPA of 3.25 to be considered
Must be accepted at UW-Stout for Fall 2016 and have the scholarship
essay submitted by Friday, June 10, 2016 to be considered.
One $2,500 and Two $1,500 scholarships will be awarded.
Application Procedure
1. To be considered for this scholarship, you must have been admitted to UW-Stout. Transfer students can apply for
admission using the online application at https://apply.wisconsin.edu
2. Complete and submit this scholarship application (see next page).
3. You must have your PTK adviser submit a letter of support along with your scholarship application.
