Designed depth map compression techniques for 3D video compression 3D/Multiview Video for Heterogeneous Networks and Users Adaptive 3D video compression /transmission are necessary to provide services to users with heterogeneous networks conditions, various terminal devices and preferences. Developed algorithm for multiview video transcoding to provide required service for heterogeneous users in multimedia systems Implemented transcoders for single view and virtual view from 3D/multiview video. Scalable Video over MIMO wireless Networks with Antenna Selection Antenna selection is an emerging technique in MIMO networks to reduce number of Curriculum Vitae Shujie Liu University at Buffalo antennas in order to save the cost of multiple RF chains. Our research mainly focuses on antenna selection for scalable video over MIMO with a cross-layer design: Implementation of the scalable video over MIMO system Receiver side antenna selection with fixed number of antennas Adaptive antenna selection and channel state information-based bit allocation Research Assistant at USTC for the “Video for Mobile” collaborative project with Nokia Research Center, Finland 2005-2008 Standard contribution to Scalable Video Coding (SVC) and Multiview Video Coding (MVC) of JVT (Joint Video Team) of ISO/IEC MPEG (Motion Picture Experts Group) and ITU-T VCEG (Video Coding Experts Group), focusing on video transport interface.
