3D/Multiview Video Compression
3D video is a collection of signal that can provide depth perception of a given scene. 3D
video compression is necessary to compress the large amount of data with 3D video
content, especially for 3D video broadcasting and multicasting.
 Designed depth map compression techniques for 3D video compression

3D/Multiview Video for Heterogeneous Networks and Users
Adaptive 3D video compression /transmission are necessary to provide services to users
with heterogeneous networks conditions, various terminal devices and preferences.
 Developed algorithm for multiview video transcoding to provide required service
for heterogeneous users in multimedia systems Implemented transcoders for single
view and virtual view from 3D/multiview video.


antennas in order to save the cost of multiple RF chains. Our research mainly focuses on
antenna selection for scalable video over MIMO with a cross-layer design:
 Implementation of the scalable video over MIMO system
 Receiver side antenna selection with fixed number of antennas
 Adaptive antenna selection and channel state information-based bit allocation
Research Assistant at USTC for the “Video for Mobile” collaborative project with Nokia
Research Center, Finland
