Answer the following questions using one to two paragraphs; please limit your answers to two pages.
1. In a strong written statement, describe your interest in and qualifications for being selected as
a NTLC Fellow for your College. Be sure to include examples of SoTL related projects and
other NTLC program participation.
2. In what ways do you think that this experience will benefit your professional development
and that of your College co-workers?
3. What outcomes would you want to achieve from this yearlong experience?
4. Please provide names of one to two people who could serve as a professional reference and
talk to your qualifications and suitability for this fellowship.
Fellows are expected to:
1. Assist with the New Instructor Workshop (work will occur during academic year)
2. Co-facilitate within his or her college the SoTL: A Team Approach program; implement
select NTLC programs within his or her college.
3. Promote NTLC program events and projects to college colleagues.
4. Meet once-a-month with the NTLC director during academic year.
5. Submit a summary of the experience and project outcomes upon conclusion of the
fellowship.
Fellowship criteria:
1. Faculty (tenured or tenure-track)
2. Have experience in conducting Scholarship of Teaching and Learning research.
3. History of participating in NTLC events, programs and projects.

seeking cross-disciplinary representation. Completed applications should be sent to
rssubmissions@uwstout.edu by Tuesday, May 3rd. They will be reviewed by Research Services
and NTLC.
Participants will receive a stipend of $2,500 for their active involvement and completion of this
yearlong fellowship. This fellowship is financially supported by the Chancellor’s Teaching
Excellence and Student Success Funds and NTLC. Once this application is completed, please send it
