An inflation factor of 4 percent may be added to the direct costs for the estimated years of delay before work is expected to be accomplished. Use of this factor is recommended for use before sale closure where work will not be completed within a year. These indirect costs as a percentage of the total KV program costs include: RO/WO Costs 8.0% RD/SO Indirect Expense (project) 12.0% Surcharge rate = 100% - 20.0% = 80% 10.80 = 1.25 Total cost to apply to form 2400-50 should include direct project costs, adjusted for inflation. Multiply direct costs times 1.25 to determine total project costs. 21.23 - KV - Map. The timber sale area boundary (BT1.1) as shown on the timber sale area map will also be the KV map boundary. KV funded projects maybe carried out on any stand within the sale area boundary.
