6732 - ACCIDENT NOTIFICATION, REPORTING, AND REVIEW
6732.1 - Notification - Action by Staff Officer or District Ranger:
Regardless of time or day, immediately telephone one of the following personnel in the order
shown, in accident cases requiring prompt notification.

Provide as much of the information as possible in your initial telephone contact (see FSM 6732.1
and R-9 Supplement to this reference).
From the information provided, the person notified will make the required notifications including
the Forest Safety Officer in addition to the R.O. contacts. The Forest Supervisor will assign the
investigator or team when responsibility for investigation is assigned at the Forest level.
