Membership of the Region 2 Integrated Forest Health Management Work Group shall consist of the following: Chairman - Forest Health Management Standing Membership - Regional Pesticide Use Coordinator Director, Renewable Resources Regional Range Specialist Director, Engineering Regional Safety Officer Other technical specialists in Regional Office Staffs will be called upon as their assistance is needed. Responsibilities. The responsibilities of the Integrated Forest Pest Management work group shall conform to the duties outlined in the Washington Office material and shall include the following: 1. Serve as a forum and focal point for integrated pest management (IPM) activities within the Region. 2. Recommend to the Regional Forester changes in policy regarding the use of pesticides in the Region. 3. Provide coordination of pesticide-use and technology transfer of pesticide information within the Region. 4. Review and make recommendations to the Chairman of the Integrated Forest Health Management Work Group on certain proposed pesticide uses (FSM 2151). Conduct of Business. The group will meet at the call of the Chairman Issues dealing with IPM and uses or policies concerning pesticides shall be discussed by the group and necessary action taken when needed. The group shall review Regional IPM and pesticide-use for compliance with FSM 2150 and other Forest Service direction, such as the Forest Service Health and Safety Code, FSH 6509.11. A consolidated list of approval for certain pesticide uses (fSM 2151.12) shall be prepared and sent to Forest Supervisors each year.
