CHAPTER 1640 – AUDIOVISUAL INFORMATION
1640.42 - Regional Foresters, Station Directors, and Area Directors
Form R1-FS-1640-3, Audio-Visual Production Request. This form is to be used for requesting
any type of audio-visual production work. The Regional Office (RO) Public and Governmental
Relations Staff (PGR), when requested, will provide information involving production costs.
Return the form to the PGR Staff for approval (exhibit 01).
1641 - VIDEOTAPE, MOTION PICTURE, AND SLIDE TAPE PRODUCTIONS
Forest Service Audio-Video Library. Videos prepared by the Forest Service and other sources
are available on free loan basis from Public Service Audience Planners, 5341 Derry Avenue,
Suite Q, Agoura Hills, California 91301 (phone 818-865-1233). Contact Public Service
Audience Planners directly for loan of videotapes (a few films are also available). This library
consists of educational, informational, and documentary productions intended for use by service
organizations, community and civic groups, colleges, schools, churches, and others. In-Service
training materials are not available to the public except for justifiable reasons.
Productions not cleared for airing on television will be so indicated. Only those productions in
the library cleared for airing on television will be made available to television stations upon their
request.
The catalog of available productions will be available electronically to each Forest Service unit
within the Region. Public Service Audience Planners will provide a catalog of available loan
materials to people and organizations, with special emphasis on school districts.
