TITLE 1500 - EXTERNAL RELATIONS
1584 - COLLECTION AGREEMENTS. All proposals for funding from outside sources will be
submitted through the Forest Supervisor.
These agreements involve the receipt of funds by the Forest Service from any non-Federal source
to carry out a purposal authorized by law. These agreements may provide for either advance
payment of the funds or reimbursement for actual costs or a combination of the two. See parent
text for authority and policy.
1584.04 - Responsibility
1. Proposal development is the responsibility of District Rangers or Supervisor's Office
Primary Staff with District Ranger concurrence.
2. Supervisor's Office coordination, review, agreement negotiation and execution will be
the responsibility of the Administrative Officer with appropriate inter-Staff coordination.
3. Grant applications solicited by the State or others are due in the Supervisor's office 14
days prior to the deadline set by the State, etc.
4. Arizona State Heritage Fund Grants through the Arizona Game and Fish Department
(AGFD): Districts shall coordinate with Tucson Regional AGFD personnel to develop proposals
60 days prior to AGFD grant application due date and shall cooperatively work with AGFD to
refine and develop final proposals 30 days prior to the application due date.
5. Arizona Off Highway Vehicle Fund Grants will be coordinated with local Off
Highway Vehicle user groups in the development stage to obtain their concurrence and/or
support for proposals.
