12 - SAFETY AND HEALTH COMMITTEES
12.2 - Membership
1. Regional Safety and Health Committee.
a. Members. The Regional Safety and Health Committee shall consist of the
following:
1) Deputy Regional Forester, Chairperson
2) Regional Safety and Health Manager
3) Regional Aviation Safety Officer
4) Engineering Systems, Fleet Manager
5) Tongass Deputy Forest Supervisor
6) Chugach Deputy Forest Supervisor
7) NFFE Representative
8) Chugach Forest Safety Manager
9) Tongass Safety Manager
10) PNW Research Station Representative
b. Purpose. The purpose of the Committee is:
1) To monitor and assist in compliance of Alaska Region safety and health
requirements and Forest Service policy.
2) To recommend and provide information on special program areas needing
emphasis.
c. Frequency of Meetings. The Committee shall meet twice each year.
d. Multi-Functional/Multi-Level Involvement. The Committee will regularly invite
representatives from various functions and/or organization levels to gain input which
will result in a relevant Safety and Health Program.
