08 - FISCAL CONTROLS
6. Job Codes.
The Forest Supervisor designates the following Headquarters Office individuals to review
all forest job codes, annually, to ensure that the accounting data accurately reflects the work plan
and that the job codes meet the established standards.

Technical Services Branch Leader (to review all job codes)

Public Services Branch Leader (job codes pertaining to Recreation, Lands,
Minerals, Heritage Resources, Public Affairs, Visitor Centers, etc. within the
Branch)

Stewardship Branch Leader (job codes pertaining to Timber, Wildlife, Threatened
and Endangered, Range, Soils, Watershed, Land Management Planning, GIS, Trust
Funds, etc. within the Branch)

Forest Fire Staff Officer (job codes pertaining to all Fire Fund allocations)

Forest Engineering Staff Officer (job codes pertaining to all Engineering Funds,
including Construction and Maintenance of Facilities, Quarters, Roads, and pooled
Cooperative Work Funds, and Emergency Funds).
All work plans are to be updated to the Final Budget allocations by April of each year.
7. Reviews.
When conducting reviews, it is vital that the reviews be documented on the annual work
plan or attached worksheet. The documentation must clearly identify any changes made and
reference the correcting document: e.g., voucher number or management code data entry form.
The Forest Budget Team is to review and document the review by July 1 of each year.
