




BREAD BOARD WORKSHOP








Registration fee is ` 150/- only.
Maximum 50 application will be accepted for this on the basis of first-come first-serve.
Basic of all components being used in the circuit will be explained.
At first circuit will be made on bread board and the circuit will be soldered on PCB (perforated).
Participants have to return the bread board after workshop.
Participants can take soldered circuit with them.
Soldering will be done in a group of 5.
Participation certificate will be given to each participant.
CHESS






Registration fee is ` 20 /- only.
Maximum 32 application will be accepted for this on the basis of first-come first-serve.
All matches will be played on computers.
All matches will be knockout.
30 seconds will be allotted for each move, failing which the participants may lose his/her move.

CODING COMPETITION (C/C++)





Registration fee is ` 20 /- only.
Only first 40 application will be accepted for this on the basis of first come first serve.
No one is allowed bring pen drive, calculator and mobile during competition.
Competition will be consisting of two round.
1. Elimination Round:
 2 questions will be given to each participant with time limit 30 minutes.
 On the basis of mark evaluation given by judges 10 ten participant will be selected
from this round and rest will be eliminated.
2. Final Round:
 Top 10 selected participant from elimination round will go for this round.
 1 question will be given to each participant with time limit 30 minutes.
 Winners will be selected on the basis of finishing first with required output.

MAYA ANIMATION CONTEST





Registration fee is ` 20 /- only.
1 Common question will be given to each participant.
Time limit will be 45 minutes only.
Winners will be selected on the basis of finishing first with required output.

APP INVENTING WORKSHOP






Registration fee is ` 50 /- only.
Only first 40 application will be accepted for this.
Acceptance of application will be on the basis of first come first serve.
Every participants have to bring their own data cable and smartphone.
On one is allowed to bring pen drive during workshop.
Participation certificate will be given to each participant.
COUNTER STRIKE
















Registration Fee: ` 500 /- per team.
No. of Teams: There will be 8 number of teams.
Selection Method: First come and first serve will be done.
Competition Method: 5 vs. 5 (Team Play, 5 players per team).
Victory Condition: The first team to win 9 rounds is declared as the winner.
Official Maps: de_dust2, de_inferno, de_nuke, de_cbble, cpl_strike
1. There will be a toss to decide which map to play. Winner eliminates 2 maps and the
opponent eliminates 1, remaining map shall be played. There will be a knife round to decide
the side (CT/T).
2. The Server Master will record the demo of the match (Quarter Final onwards).
General Game Setting: Rounds: 16 Rounds (Max rounds format): Each Team plays 8 rounds as
Terrorists and 8 rounds as Counter-Terrorists.
Round Time: 2 minutes.
C4 Timer: 35 seconds.
Players are expected to bring their gaming accessories.
(Keyboard, Mouse-optional).
Default skins must be used.
Any other use of map or program bugs can result in a warning at the minimum or loss by default for
the offending team after deliberation and decision by the board of referees at its sole discretion.
Basic configuration files (CFG) will be allowed with no illegal scripts.
Final match will be “BEST OF THREE MAPS”
Players can be interchanged if opponent allows else team will be dis -qualified.

APPTITUDE TEST







Registration fee is ` 30 /- only.
There will be 100 question.
Time allotted will be 90 minutes.
3 Marks will be awarded for each correct answer.
-1 Mark will be awarded for each negative answer.
No one is allowed bring calculator and cell phone.

NEED FOR SPEED MOST WANTED (2005)


Registration fee is 50 /- only per participants.

GAME VERSION: Need For Speed Most Wanted v1.3 English Version.
GENERAL RULES:










Max of 32 players will be selected. It is first-come first-serve.
1st Round: Circuit Race with 2 Laps.
Quarter final & Semi Final: 2 Sprint and 1 circuit (Best of 2 will be selected).
Final: Circuit with 3 Laps.
At the end of each match, players must maintain the final screens and receive confirmation from the
referee.
Winning a Race in Sprint: The winner in the sprint race has to complete it. If in a sprint race we are
allowing a winner and runner up, the runner up does not complete it within the “HURRY 25 SECS”, he
will be chosen according to his position in the sprint.
Participants must bring their own headphones.
Maps for Circuit Race & Sprint: Greater than & Equal to 10 Kms.
Personal saved files are not allowed.
Any change intention may lead to disqualification.
Note: The course selection may change prior to the tournament. Player will be informed of any such
changes before the tournament.
GROUP DISCUSSION







Free registration.
Participants will be divided into several groups according to the number of available candidates.
Topics mainly related to technology will be given & allowed to discuss within certain time duration.
Time given to each group will be 10 minutes.
Individuals will be selected from each group accordingly.
There will remain THREE selected winners, at the end, to whom prizes will be declared.

PAPER PRESENTATION


Free registration.
All the presented papers must be related to the field of Engineering (ECE, EE, IT, CSE and Civil
Engineering).
 Only one author of each paper can present the paper.
 Same author of more than one paper can present maximum two numbers of paper.







The presentation should comprise of the entire explanation of individual topics attempted.
Contestants will be provided a time limit of 10 minutes for presentation, and 5 minutes for question
round on the respected topic.
Few selected paper(s) will be published in the Science & Technology journal, Mizoram University but
after thorough review process.
Authors of selected paper(s) need to update their paper based on the reviewer comments before
publishing it to Science & Technology Journal, Mizoram University.
Last date of submitting the full length paper: 12 th October 2015.
Papers can be submitted either in the form of hard copy or soft copy to the respective event incharges.

ART EXHIBITION





Registration fee is ` 20 /- only.
Each participant can submit only one drawing/painting/art.
Each participant have to submit their own drawing/painting/art, failing which will be disqualified.

SCIENCE EXHIBITION


Registration Fees (senior): ` 50 /- only per group.
Registration Fees (Junior): free.
One group can present only one model.










Participants are requested to bring their own hand made models for the exhibition.
There can be groups comprising of not more than 3 members/group.
The models presented in the Exhibition will be divided into two groups, viz, seniors (Graduate or
above), juniors (Class IX – Class XII).
The models which are to be presented at the exhibition by the contestants, should mostly be related
to science and technology, new innovations, electronics, or any prototype.
New ideas and innovations are highly appreciated.
The models presented, will be returned to the respective candidates or groups after the
commencement of the exhibition.
The groups have to present their models and explain clearly, the working principal of the machine
built.
If the model made by the contestant has no links with the topics provided, it might not be eligible for
the exhibition.
1st prize: Junior- ` 1600/- Senior – ` 2000/2nd prize: Junior- ` 1000/- Senior – ` 1500/3rd prize: Junior- ` 600/Senior – ` 1000/Consolation prize ` 200/- per group will be given to remaining groups (both senior and junior).
QUIZ COMPETITION








A registration fee of ` 50/- per group is required.
The maximum no. of teams allowed is 16.
Each team must be comprise of 3 members each.
Only team entries are allowed.
Participants shall not be allowed to use mobile phones or other electronic instruments.
The questions shall be in the form of multiple choices specific answer questions and picture
identification.
Replacement of any participant of team is not allowed after registration.
The decision of judges/experts will be final and will not be subjected to any change.
Note: In case of more than 16 teams registered, one written/screening test will be conducted prior to
the starting of quiz competition.

Methodology:
Elimination Round:
1. 1 multiple choice questions will be asked to each team in one cycle. This cycle will be
repeated 5 times.
2. For every question 20 sec will be allotted to answer.
3. For every correct answer 10 points will be awarded.
4. For every incorrect answer 5 points will be deducted.
5. This will be non-passable round
Note: Top 8 teams will be selected for final round.
Audience round 1:

Final Round:
Round 1 (Transfer round):
1. MCQ will be asked to each team in first cycle. This cycle will be repeated 2 times for each of below
mentioned sub rounds.

3. For every correct answer 20 marks will be awarded and for every incorrect answer 10 points will be
deducted.
4. This is passable round. Question will be passed to next team. For every correct answer 10 points will
be awarded, 5 points will be deducted for wrong answer.

Audience Round 2:
1. 10 questions will be asked to audiences.

Round 2 (Hands up round):
1. 16 questions will be fired one after another and the team who raise the hand first will get chance to
answer first.
2. 10 points will be awarded for correct answer and 5 points will be deducted for incorrect answer.
3. After raising the hand clock will start and the participant have to give answer within 5 sec.
4. If answered wrongly, question will be passed to audience.
Round 3 (Visual round)
1. Each team will be shown 2 pictures on the screen. No option will be given.
2. 10 sec will be given to answer the question.
3. For every correct answer 10 points will be awarded. For incorrect answer no negative marking will be
there.
