Students will look in depth at the business of non-profit, community, high school, collegiate and professional sports organizations. The course will give students opportunities for hands on experiences in the business of sport. Sport marketing, law administration and societal influences of sport business are some examples of theoretical content of this course. A voluntary enrichment fee may apply. This course is offered in class or on-line as an e-learning course. Theoretical Sport Management Assignment (10%) The assignment will consist of an ongoing (throughout the course) examination of sport business principles. The portfolio will include but not limited to: facility design, team and athlete promotion, and financial considerations.
