On Saturday, June the 14th
Heart Walk. This was a collaborative event between the undergraduate nursing, graduate
nursing, and the health science department. Team Beth-El College raised a total of
$1,970.00 for the American Heart Association (AHA) and American Stroke Association
research. The undergraduate nursing students at Beth-El College entered into a friendly
competition with the Pikes Peak Community College nursing students to see who could
raise more money for AHA research. The Pikes Peak nursing students raised $875 while
the Beth-El undergraduate nursing students raised $810. The winner, the Pikes Peak
QXUVLQJVWXGHQWVZRQJLIWFHUWLÀFDWHVWR7H[DV5RDGKRXVH7KH´7HDP%HWK(O&ROOHJHµ
t-shirt took 2nd place in the t-shirt design competition. The collaborative event was a
huge success and there is talk amongst the different departments (undergraduate nursing,
graduate nursing, and health sciences) about organizing an annual 5k event that would

event and for all your fundraising efforts.
