Sea level rise risk report 2008
Within the next 25 years there is an 85% probability
of 60.9 km² (2% of Metro area) being covered by
sea for a short period.
Expected loss of real estate value of this would be
just under R20 billion.
The risk is significant and will increase over next 25
years even if we reduce greenhouse gas levels
into the future
