Appendix M – Significant Revisions
I.
Revisions
This NROG is derived from the content of the IHRG but has been reorganized in a
number of ways including the consolidation of chapters and appendices where
appropriate and beneficial. There are also a number of additions and alterations in the
NROG that address new standards or correct errors. The significant and notable
revisions of equipment, procedures, and operational standards made, which augment or
differ from the directions or standards in the IHRG, are noted in the following table:

Chap. 5 – NOTE Pg. 5-3, stipulates the
following:
NOTE: The standard and maximum load of
rappellers is four (4), seated in the aft facing
bench seat. Loads less than four (4) are
acceptable. Normal deployment of
rappellers shall occur from both doors; two
(2) rappellers simultaneously. Two-door
operations and simultaneous deployment of
rappellers reduces overall hover time and
unloads weight from the aircraft more
quickly. A single rappeller may be deployed
as necessary to meet specific mission and
personnel needs.
