May 22/12 Dear Parents / Participants of the CDDHS / DCMA Battlefields Tour 2013, This is our chance to congratulate you on being invited to participate in this extraordinary opportunity in November 2013. As you will see from tonight’s presentation, there is a great ‘buzz’ about this proposed Tour, building on an exciting tradition of excellence – all it needs now is YOU! As you listen & observe the proceedings tonight, don’t hesitate to take notes & ask questions – there will be A LOT of information for you to absorb! We encourage you to leave us your email address and to constantly watch our website http://www.ugdsb.on.ca/cddhs/europe2011/blog.aspx which will be running effective June 4st, 2012. We will be updating you most often through the website, so it is imperative that you check it every week or so as the summer progresses. Finally, should you choose to become a participant in our tour, there are several things to remember as Grade Ten winds down: Be sure that you have selected a course for Grade 11 that fulfills the requirements for this Tour - -be thinking about the courses you’ll need for Grade 12 too! Always keep an average above 70% & a good track record at Centre Dufferin! Begin your Veteran’s Research ASAP! Locate your Veteran through the DCMA “Virtual War Memorial” and get your visits to the Museum done THIS summer! As soon as you have selected your Veteran – get the contract signed !! Like the commercial says….”Save Your Money!” Plan to take part in the CDDHS Gift Card Fundraiser which will start in September – some students have raised almost $1000 of their tour costs! There’s lots more to come, but we really hope you will join us on the Battlefields Tour. Deposits & Insurance payments can be made ANYTIME starting Monday May 28th/12 Many thanks for coming tonight!!
