Technical Mathematics Course Descriptions TMAT 1103: TECHNICAL MATHEMATICS I A comprehensive study of mathematics as applied to business. Banking, payroll, business statistics, and other selected topics will be covered. Lecture: 3 hours TMAT 1203: TECHNICAL MATHEMATICS II Prerequisites: TMAT 1103, a score of 17 in the Algebra section of the ACT or a score of 29 in the Algebra section of the COMPASS. Designed for students in occupational and technical programs, this course includes measurement, operations with polynomial expressions, use of equations and formulas, basic trigonometry, and basic statistics, with emphasis on industrial and other practical applications. A scientific calculator is required with TI 83 or TI 84 recommended.
